September 2020--How things are different!

Wow! What a year 2020 has been! I think we all can agree that none of us has either experienced or witnessed such dramatic changes in our lifetime. We all thought that on March 13, 2020 we would be home from school for two weeks. That date quickly changed to end school as we knew it for the year. Teachers pivoted to create "Emergency Learning Plans" to continue educating the masses. Students, who already had a relationship with their teachers, tried their best to continue learning and excelling in a new format. Many of us probably couldn't tell you what Zoom, Loom, or Screencastify was a year ago. My how things change.
September 2020 looked different from any other school year. We were virtual for the first two weeks and began to welcome back a few students into the building on September 22. October 8 saw a change as well as we welcomed this year's freshmen to the building. While things may look different, students are continuing to learn. As libarians, we have "zoomed" into many classes to demonstrate how to access databases, take notes, and cite sources. Learning will continue whether we are together or apart. We look forward to continued work with our students and teachers.
